We recommend silicone because it will go inside your bearings and keep them lubricated.
To apply the liquid or spray silicone, take a clean cloth rag or paper towel and drip or spray a small amount of silicone to one side of the rag. Then simply apply the silicone to all 8 rods of the foosball table.
This will keep the rods maintained and slick for the best table operation. Just make sure not to get any silicone on your handles or playfield while you are applying it.
Next, you can take your bottle of liquid silicone and apply a drop or two of silicone at the end of the foosball rod next to the bearing.
In the end, slide the rod into the bearing and spin it around in a few circles in a slow motion. This will ensure that your bearing stays lubricated and it will extend the life of the bearing.
